Parliament has approved a €72million loan facility for expansion works at the Kumasi Airport.
The agreement is expected to lead to an improvement in the runway as well as the installation of ground lights to allow flights at night, which will lead to the creation of an alternative international airport in the country.
But on the floor of the house last night, the opposition Members of Parliament kicked against the speed with which the loan and other bills were being rushed on the floor of the house.
However, majority MPs remained adamant and argued that the loan agreement would expand the infrastructural base of the Kumasi Airport to facilitate the movement of people and goods.
