Comic actor Abraham Kofi Davies a.k.a Salinko who is hoping to become a Member of Parliament on the ticket PPP has spoken about the shocking disqualification of his flag bearer Dr. Paa Kwasi Nduom.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Peacefmonline.com, the ‘Bantama Kwasi Boakye’ actor said it is very painful that the Electoral Commission has taken Dr. Nduom out of the presidential race after he has spent so much money campaigning for about eight months now.

Salinko who is currently the Parliamentary candidate for Atwima Kwawoma constituency in the Ashanti Region on the ticket of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), said he couldn't believe it and he has still not been able to come to terms with the fact that Dr. Ndoum has been dropped by the EC.

"It is sad and it is very painful because the man genuinely wants to serve Ghana and he has vision for the country. Even though he is very a wealthy man, he does not want to see people suffer that is why he decided to go into politics all these years. So what has happened is very worrying considering the amount of money he has spent on campaign for almost 8 months".

According to Salinko he has not yet accepted the Electoral Commission's decision and he is hoping that they would amend their decision. He said the EC could have allowed Paa Kwasi Nduom to at least correct his mistakes if indeed there were mistakes as the EC is claiming.

Salinko also said among other things that he hopes the EC did not disqualify Dr. Nduom because he dragged the commission to court over the filing fee which Nduom and his PPP believes it is rather too expensive.

Salinko revealed that he has filed his document and paid GHC10,000 as his filing fee to the Electoral Commission as a parliamentary aspirant and he is waiting for the EC to decide whether he qualifies or not. Ask what he would do if he is also qualified, Salinko said "If I am disqualified I won't be bothered because If God want me to be a leader in Ghana no human being or institution can stop me".
