Breaking News; UK Prime Minister Resign

Zimbabweans have been reacting on Twitter to British Prime Minister David Cameron's resignation following the #Brexit victory - and some of them are asking why President Robert Mugabe never stood down after his election defeats.

Mugabe, now 92, lost a constitutional referendum in 2000. He also lost the first round of voting in presidential elections in 2008. When that happened, an announcement of the results was delayed for five weeks.

Black Stars and Swansea midfielder, Andre Ayew has said that he has not won enough as a player and for country and hungry for more success.

Ayew, who has won the SWAG Footballer of the Year for the second time and Sports Personality of the Year, for the first time said this when he was officially introduced to the title sponsors of the 41st MTN-SWAG Awards at the MTN head office in Accra.

The former Olympique Marseille attacking midfielder has won individual awards in his young career but says he has not won enough and must do more for himself and country.

“I have not won anything yet; there are some few important trophies to win for my country and myself. I have so much to win; I am still young, and I know I can progress whether in football or trophies.”
