Breaking News: NPP Break Demo At Kumasi


About 700 supporters of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA), Movement for Change and Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) have hit principal streets in the Kumasi Metropolis to protest against the Electoral Commission (EC) on electoral problems.

The protestors set off from Kumasi State Boys Junior High Schools (JHS) near Abrepo junction through to Bantama to other streets.

The mammoth demonstration dubbed ‘Baamu yadda’ meaning we will not agree is aimed at compelling the EC to heed their call and embark on a validation of the register

Opposition leader Nana Akufo-Addo has dared popular radio presenter Adakabre Frimpong Manso, who claimed the NPP flagbearer threatened him, to make a formal complaint with the police.

“…Nana Addo abused and threatened me, I was so sad and scared but I kept quiet because I didn’t want to be the fall guy through which something happens and they would say it is because of Adakabre so I kept quiet.

Father of under attack afternoon talk show host on Neat FM, has corroborated accusation by his son, Adakabre Frimpong Manso, that he has on a number of occasions been verbally attacked by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo.

Robert Okyere Frimpong Manso, speaking from his base in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, disclosed that he wanted to hold a press conference to reveal all that, Nana Akufo-Addo, has been doing to his beloved son; threatening his job by ending his broadcasting career.

He revealed an earlier letter written to the management of the Despite Group of Companies by Nana Akufo-Addo, and the NPP, complaining about his son; obviously inciting management of the company to sack him.

Osei Manu, the 207 Mercedez Benz bus trotro driver who was given 24 lashes by some officials of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) for allegedly stealing a car tape and a mobile phone has been admitted at the hospital.

Manu, 35, according to his brother, Harrision Asiamah, was admitted at the Tafo Government Hospital when the Suame Police referred him to the health facility for treatment late Monday, April 4, 2016.

The trotro driver who plies the road network between Kumasi and Keniago in the Amansie District was picked up by the KMA officials at the Kumasi Race Course for alleged thievery, despite protest from the other station drivers.

Breaking News: NPP Exposed Odike In NDC Colours

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accused the NDC of sponsoring the political party of Akwasi Addai Odike, the United Progressive Party (UPP) formed in 2012.

According to the NPP Communications Director, Nana Akomea, he has evidence in the form of a secret tape recording which suggests that the NDC will be supporting Odike's party with huge sums of money.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Mr. Akomea said the move by the NDC is to contest NPP support ahead of the November polls.

Founder of the United People’s Party (UPP), Akwasi Addae a.k.a Odike, has said he wouldn’t have committed any crime if he indeed tried to secure funds from the ruling National Democratic Congress to run his newly formed party.

He has been caught in a web of controversy after a secret audio tape recording revealed the Kumasi-based business tycoon trying to con the party’s Central Regional Chairman, one Gideon who has defected to rejoin.

Daniel Asiedu, the alleged killer of Mr. Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North has confirmed attempt to poison him in BNI cells.

According to him he was given food at 12:00 midnight to eat but he declined.

However, the accused said he could not tell how that story came out on social media.

He made the revelation when the court presided over by Mr Stephen Owusu wanted to ascertain the truth about some stories on social media over the alleged food poisoning.

When the court demanded to know how he was being treated by security operatives, Aseidu said the situation had gone from bad to worse. At the lasting sitting Aseidu complained about treatment meted out to him.

According to Asiedu: “I am always inside the cells 24 hours each day. I am not allowed to go out of the cells.
