Asante Kotoko players and officials have pitched camp in Akropong ahead of Wednesday’s Ghana Premier League match against Dreams FC.

A contingent of players, technical team and management members arrived in the mountainous town late Monday evening to continue preparations.

The Porcupines who have been on a resurgence are bent on recording their first away win in the match day eight league fixture.

Kotoko are 10th on the league table.

Daniel Asiedu, the suspected murderer of the late New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament, for the Abuakwa North Constituency, Joseph Boakye Danquah, says he has repented from his evil ways and has turned over a new leaf.

The self-professed remorseful suspect, said this after his appearance in court on Tuesday, where the Magistrate Court in Accra ordered his transfer from the custody of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), to police custody.

Speaking in the vehicle that was conveying him to the police cells after the court order, Daniel Asiedu indicated that he has changed from his old ways.

“I’ve changed my life, no more bad,” he said.

Presidential staffer, Kojo Adu-Asare has described as unnecessary the decision by the Electoral Commission (EC) to change its logo.

He argued that, though rebranding is not bad, there are more pressing issues the election management body needs to tackle ahead of a crucial election in few months time.

The EC has since 1968 had one logo which represents their core functions of being in charge of all election-related activities in the country.

A former convict of the Nsawam Maximum Security Prison has revealed that some inmates are drugged by other senior inmates popularly known as ‘barons’ to enable them have sexual intercourse with them.

William Ofori who spent four years at the prison after being convicted for failing to settle a debt told Starr News in an exclusive interview that most wardens watch on while the ‘barons’ at the facility have sex with the vulnerable ones.
