Three persons who have had their four months jail term remitted by President John Mahama after threatening judges have been moved from the Nsawam prison.

Montie FM show host, Salifu Maase popularly known as Mugabe and two radio panelists; Alistair Tairo Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn have been moved to an undisclosed location.

Lawyer for the three, Godwin Tamakloe disclosed this on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday.

He indicated that, the move is part of prison protocol before their release Friday, August 26.

They were handed four-month jail term and a penalty of GHC10,000 each for their crime. The money was settled before going to the prison.

The dissatisfaction of some members within the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the conviction led to a petition drive to compel the President to activate his powers in Article 72 of the Constitution.

In consultation with the Council of State, President Mahama granted remission to the three men.

Lawyer Tamakloe however revealed that, there would be a thanksgiving service for the ex-convicts at the forecourt of Montie FM Sunday August 28, 2016.

He urged all friends and sympathizers especially members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to throng to the venue to thank God for his mercies.
