Breaking News: Holywood Drama Shown In Public

It's been a dramatic few days for co-stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel, who allegedly got into a pretty nasty feud on set of the upcoming movie "Fast 8." But, a touching final cast photo on Facebook seems to hint that their on-set strife has come to an end.

The group shot, including Dwayne, Vin, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Kurt Russell, Ludarcis, Nathalie Emmanuel, Scott Eastwood, and Jason Statham, refers to the cast as a family unit.

"For our final #FastFridays post," the caption started out, next to the pic posted on Aug. 12. "All of us in the Fast Family wanted to thank you for coming on the ride with us during this epic production."

The caption goes on to thank everyone for their hard work over the course of filming the "Fast & Furious" franchise installment.
"We began in Cuba, visited Iceland, New York and Atlanta, and as we head into our final few days of shooting, we wanted to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to those who have worked so hard over the past 100 days to bring you a movie that is going to be another incredible installment of our saga. Everything we do comes from our shared passion to bring you the very best."

Part of the drama between the pals allegedly stemmed from The Rock possibly not liking some of Vin's decisions as a producer on the movie. But, the post makes it sound like everyone was grateful for his work.

"Thank you Vin," the caption read. "Who has been at the wheel since this journey began, first as star and then as producer..."

To wrap up, the post goes into detail thanking each and every major cast member over the course of the films, not forgetting to mention the late Paul Walker.

"And thanks to all of the cast of the eighth Fast: Michelle, who's also been with us from the start... Those who've joined our family along the way: Tyrese and Chris from Miami in our second film; Dwayne and Elsa, who came on board in Rio in movie five; Jason, Nathalie and Kurt from last time around; and our newest members Charlize, Scott, Kristofer and Helen... And our brother who continues to inspire us all, Paul. We extend our gratitude to our new director F. Gary Gray, producers Neal Moritz and One Race Films, writer Chris Morgan, and the hundreds of awesome, dedicated crew members who worked their asses off."

At the very end, the message reiterates how serious the cast and crew is about focusing on making a good movie -- and, maybe not so much on petty drama.

"All of us take our work on Fast & Furious seriously, and we seriously intend to wow the world again," the Facebook post went on. "We'll be back in December with your first look at what we've created for you."

There was no direct mention to the feud between Dwayne and Vin, but the overall family-unit vibes within the caption seems to be a pretty good indicator that the dust has settled between the co-workers.

The drama originally went public on Aug. 8, when The Rock called out unnamed male co-stars for being unprofessional, and even used names like "chicken s---" in an Instagram post.

Vin fired back with his own post speaking about how happy he was to finally be heading home after filming wrapped.

"After being on set since literally Christmas to finally, finally, finally to come home," he said in an Instagram video. "And to learn the little angel learned a new word. I'm going to have to share it with you, it's more important than anything. When I heard her say 'happy,' I just lit up in ways I can't even describe." He added, "So give me a second and I will tell you everything. Everything."

Then there was buzz that the stars even had an on-set confrontation to try to hash things out to no avail.

But eventually, the back and forth died out when The Rock shared a nicer message on Instagram, supporting the idea of working as a team and healthy conflict.

"You guys reading this know how much I believe in the idea of TEAM EFFORT," he wrote. "That means respecting every person, their time and their value when they step on to my set or partner with our production company. And like with any team - that's a family - there's gonna be conflict. Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs. To me, conflict can be a good thing, when its followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it. At the end of the day me and #F8 co-stars all agree on the most important thing: Delivering an incredible movie to the world."

So for now, alls well that ends well. Until the next "Fast & Furious" installment starts filming, we suppose ...
