Zlatan and his family were staying at the posh Lowry Hotel in the city centre – but his partner Helena Seger quickly decided it was not to her liking.
After her man had gone off to training at 9am, Helena was seen with the couple's children carrying suitcases to a waiting taxi.
She had decided to go to Radisson Blu – a short five minute drive down the road.
It is not clear what forced the hotel switch.
The couple's luggage arrived in a separate taxi and was carried into the five-star hotel in Peter Street, Manchester.
The hotel has two restaurants and a champagne bar and is said to be popular with Manchester City players.
