The Krachi West constituency Chairman, Mathias Kwame Banyaolenso in an interview on Adom News said the decision was taken by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.

According to him, the action and inaction of the parliamentary candidate is gradually making the NPP very unpopular in the district.

“Before Kenneth won the elections he was very hard working but when he got the position, he has only been to the constituency twice and that is a recipe for disaster” he stressed.

Mr. Banyaolenso indicated that, Kenneth Jima failed to tour areas during the district assembly and the limited registration exercises which in his view, is very crucial to the
NPP victory in the November elections.

“We have complained several times to NEC about his [Kenneth] behaviour so I believe sacking him is the best option”.

The Krachi West constituency Chairman added that he received a letter from the NPP Regional Chairman to that effect and they have served him accordingly.

But Kenneth Jima maintained that, he is still the elected candidate of the NPP in the Krachi West constituency.

He accused the constituency executives of scheming him out since “I was not their preferred candidate.

“The supposed letter they claim is from NEC is rather from the Regional Chairman and I have not been served” he fumed.

Kenneth Jima said he is ready to face the Constituency and the Volta Regional Executives at the NPP’s NEC in Accra to deliberate on the issues.
