Award-winning Ghanaian actor and comedian Adu Kofi popularly known as ‘Agya Koo’ has disclosed that he is being trailed by some unnamed individuals believed to be thugs of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC)

He states in particular an instance where a driver of a V8 cross country vehicle has on several occasions been trailing their movements during campaigns and meetings in the Kumasi metropolis and surrounding towns.

According to him, ever since he and his team launched agenda 57 endorsing the Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo the vehicle has conspicuously been monitoring their movements.

The comedian is accusing members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) of being behind this act.

He wondered why Ghanaians cannot engage in politics of issues but rather hate speeches and personal attacks.

Speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, he explained that they always spot the V8 at a distance from their meeting points observing their activities.

He questioned the motive of the driver or group behind the vehicle, warning them (NDC) to stay off their backs.

He said there is nothing wrong for celebrities to endorse political leaders of their choice, complaining that celebrities in NDC camp are not vilified, but those endorsing NPP are attacked unnecessarily on daily basis.

‘I don’t understand why NDC people threaten and insults celebrities who have endorsed NPP, can’t we as Ghanaians do politics devoid of insults, I have been insulted on so many occasions on the airwaves, nobody has called me on phone to threaten me, but ever since we started campaigning for NPP, a certain V8 vehicle has been trailing our movements, he/she always parks at places we go at a close distance watching us, we are also on alert, so he/she should stay off, ’ he said.

The Actor called on the electorate to vote massively for Nana Addo and the NPP during the general elections to change the fortunes of the country.
