Western Regional RFA Chairman, Kojo Yanka has rubbished the idea by the Youth and Sports Minister asking the Ghana Football Association to account for the Japan friendly played in Tokyo.

The Sports minister furiously accused the FA for not informing him about the friendly that was played in Japan and has desperately asked the FA to account on how much they spent on that friendly and how they managed to secure that deal to play that friendly match in Tokyo.

The team was coached by Maxwell Konadu but the Ghana U-23 team lost by 3:0.
Speaking to Asempa Sports, he said, “I don’t understand why the youth and sports minister can’t for once spare the GFA.

“The truth is, the GFA is not accountable to Nii Lante Vanderpuye but rather to it congress because the Sports Minister doesn’t know how the FA get it money to nurture its own players and how the FA get it money to do it affairs.

“It got to a point that the FA did not had enough money so we decided that we will approach the government for some money but the government said there is no money so the cooks at Prampram threaten to stop cooking for the players so the FA went to and look for money and came to pay the cooks so we will not account to him because he is not the person who will ask us to do any account because we are not are not accountable to him.” He added.
