Businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome, who has been critised for wrongfully collecting over GHC 51 million as judgment debt from the state has indicated that he sings praise and worship songs to relax during his leisure times.
Mr. Woyome who has been under fire for over four years says the over GHC 51 million saga has affected his business and life but added that he always carries a cheerful heart and prays to God.
Speaking on Joy Fm, Mr. Woyome said he is always singing and giving praise to God in his heart because it is God who has carried him through this very trying times.
He said “I’m always engaged in hot praise and worship, even as I’m standing here I’m praising God in my heart…. He [God] is the one that created us, so my heart is singing that song authored by the Holy Spirit. If you are a Pentecostal you’ll understand what I’m saying.”
Mr. Woyome also added that although he disagrees with the sole judge’s decision to grant Mr. Martin Amidu his wish to cross-examine him [Woyome] at the Supreme Court, he is prepared for what many have described as a ‘Judgement Debt Showdown.’
On Thursday November 24, former Attorney General, Martin Amidu would be verbally examining Mr. Woyome over a number of issues including who the beneficiaries of the GHC 51 million were and also how the money was expended.
Martin Amidu a.k.a Citizen Vigilante said he would also question the payback plan of the amount of which GHC 4million has been given to back to the state.
