A Deputy Communication Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Anthony Abayifa Karbo has threatened to reveal certain hidden truths about All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer, Hassan Ayariga if the latter doesn’t cease his incessant attacks on Nana Akufo-Addo.
Hassan Ayariga in the past week has been lambasting the NPP flagbearer, claiming among other things that he is unfit to lead the country because at age 72, he is still living in his father’s house.
“At age 72, my senior and my father, Nana Akufo-Addo, is still living in his father’s house. At this age 72, I would have retired from politics and been advising young men of this country to move this country forward and not contest with them anymore,” he was quoted as saying.
Ayariga who is noted for making Nana Akufo-Addo his main target during national electioneering campaigns promised on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Programme Tuesday to unleash more arsenals on the NPP leader before the December polls.
“We are doing politics and I have my way of doing my politics…my campaign is going to focus on everyone, if you cross my line, it’s not going to be easy…,” he said in reaction to claims by NPP MP for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong that he is unworthy of the presidency.
He thus called on the NPP leader and his supporters to get ready for him.
NPP MP for Assin Central who could not stand the attacks on Nana Addo also took Hassan Ayariga to the cleaners and threatened more attacks.
He accused him of taking money for coughing to distract the NPP flagbearer at the 2012 IEA debate in Accra.
But Anthony Karbo who the NPP’s Parliamentary candidate for Lawra in the Upper West region said, he would also ‘open more fire’ on the APC leader if he does not stop attacking the NPP flagbearer unnecessarily.
“I am advising APC, Hassan Ayariga who is a friend to stick to politics of issues, what is the issue about people staying in their father’s house…?,” he said.
Karbo speaking on Peace FM Friday threatened he would reveal some secrets about the APC leader who he said he knows from infancy if he continues his attacks on Nana Addo.
“I know him very well. If he claims to be a presidential candidate that has filed and seek to be voted for, he should know how to communicate or else it would open the flood gates [for attacks]. Some of us know him very well, we know where he used to live in Tamale and I know him in GHANASCO…,” he warned.
