General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia believes the Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the greatest liability to his party.

He indicates Bawumia is being used by unseen hands within the party, to soil his reputation in order to make him unfit as a candidate to lead it in future elections as its flagbearer.

“Dr. Bawumia is being pushed to give false prophecies and this is affecting his own credibility and I can bet you he is dooming his political career”, he said

Speaking to Kwame Adinkra on Abusua Nkomo, he observed that Dr. Bawumia right from his choice as running mate plunge his own party into trouble with serious divisions.

As if that was not enough, he claims Dr. Bawumia led his party into a lying spree at the Election Petition with computation of falsified figures that the NPP won the 2012 elections but when pushed to prove his claims, he backtracked.

“Kwame, the same Dr. Bawumia was there quoting all figures that the NPP won the 2012 elections leading to the Election Petition at the Supreme Court. When it became critical for him to prove his points, he said you and I were not there”

According to him, the same person was recently quoted as claiming there are foreign voters in the country’s electoral register stating that more 76,000 of such persons had been captured.

The NDC scribe indicates that till date, Dr. Bawumia is yet to furnish the Electoral Commission (EC) or the Supreme Court the full details of his claims to enable the EC delete such them.

“Dr. Bawumia is a liar and I will want to advise him to stop this for the sake of his integrity. If he is my brother I will advise him. He is being pushed to do the dirty work to lose his credibility and integrity. They will use the very lies he is peddling against him should he seek to lead the party as its flagbearer of party”, he concluded.
