Passengers in a VIP bus from Accra to the Central region escaped unhurt after the vehicle caught fire.
A taxi car which was following the bus, according to reports, noticed the fire on the Kasoa road and immediately asked the driver to stop.
An eyewitness who gave his name as Gyasi told Adom News the fear-stricken passengers on board rushed out of the bus to save their lives.
He indicated that, passengers had tried to douse the flames with buckets of water brought from houses in the locality.
Gyasi said personnel of the Ghana Fire Service were at the scene to try and put out the fire.
