OMG: South African Ex. Police Officer To Lodge In Ghana Toward Election

Ex Corps Arrested1
Government has revealed that the three South African ex Police officers arrested by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI)who were engaged in acts that threatens national security lied about where they were to lodge in Ghana.

According to the Deputy Communications Minister, Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the detainees indicated in their travel documents that there were to be accommodated at the Movimpick Hotel or the Alisa Hotel in Accra but rather lodged at Agona Duakwa in the Central region where they were picked up.

The three, Major Ahmed Shaik Hazis, 54, (Rtd), WO/ Denver Dwayhe Naidu, 39, (Rtd) and 45-year-old Captain Mlungiseleli Jokani (Rtd) were arrested at the El-Capitano Hotel, while training fifteen young men in various military drills, including unarmed combat, weapon handling, VIP protection techniques and rapid response maneuvers.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed the 15 people being trained by three South African ex-police men are part of its security detail, but denied links to any treasonable motive.

An order for the release of the three former South African police officers to the registrar of the Accra Circuit Court until all their bail conditions are met has been defied by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).

The Circuit Court which was presided over Her Lordship Patricia Quansah, Thursday, granted bail to the ex-South African cops

But speaking on Joy FM’s News File show Saturday, Felix Kwakye Ofosu emphasized the need for the BNI to conduct further detailed investigations on the three for items found on them which they refused declare to the lawful authorities.

“Approximately 30 military uniforms were found on them when they were arrested. Dossier on the STL, a company that has close relationship with the state…I mean the Electoral Commission was found on them, that is espionage. One of the three is also known to be frequenting Iraq. No self respecting security agency will overlook this fact”.

The NPP has claimed that all the equipment which the three ex cops were using to train the party youth such as PT pants, skipping ropes, T shirts, golf shirts, socks, cargo pants, belts, sand bags, batons, training knives, cons, Trojan exercise wheel, paint ball guns were declared at the airport and duly paid for.a
