After enduring winds that topped 120 mph and waves that tossed their ship around, passengers of the Anthem of the Seas are on dry land Thursday, having cut short a planned cruise to the Bahamas. Royal Caribbean says the storm that damaged the ship and forced its return to New Jersey "far exceeded forecasts."
The cruise line also says it will revise its policies about avoiding severe weather. Passengers had posted photos and video showing damage and extreme conditions on board. When the ship docked Wednesday night, passengers say, the onboard speakers played Barry Manilow's song "Looks Like We Made It" and cheering erupted from the balconies.
"Our ship and our crew performed very well to keep everyone safe during severe weather," the cruise line says. And while it apologized to passengers "for what they went through," Royal Caribbean adds, "of more than 6,000 people on board, only four minor injuries were reported."
The Anthem of the Seas — one of the world's largest cruise ships, at more than 168,000 tons — ran into the powerful storm off the coast of the Carolinas on Sunday afternoon. Extreme conditions that shattered glass and damaged roof panels on the ship prompted the captain to order passengers to stay in their cabins.
One of those passengers was Cheryl Howell, who tells NJ.com that it was her first cruise.
"I went on it myself," she said. "So the second day of this wonderful vacation all hell broke loose."
Howell agreed with Royal Caribbean's praise for the ship's crew. Here's more of what she said:
"The first day was great. The second day we were watching a musical and everything started sliding. All I can remember is glass shattering everywhere and it was very scary to hear the glass."
...
"I was on the sixth deck and waves were coming over my balcony. It was very scary."
As we reported Monday, Royal Caribbean said that after a "tough day" for its guests, it would refund their ticket costs and give passengers a 50 percent discount on a future cruise.

HOOOOOO...SECRET ABOUT SOME INDIAN

Image result for INDIA SEX WORKERSIn the heart of Indiranagar, Bangalore’s young, techie neighborhood, a series of storefronts and restaurants assaults your senses — Starbucks! California Pizza Kitchen! United Colors of Benetton! In the middle of this show of middle-class success sits a window display of what an older Indian man might delicately call ladies’ items  bras, lacy underwear, intimacies. Inside, though, daintiness gets ditched: Drake’s beats blast through the speaker and bright pink, peach and striped patterns bloom everywhere as a few young women browse and Sherin Mariel provides consultations — measuring bust and cup sizes, offering sisterly advice. But when a lady finds a perfect fit, she can’t buy it here. She takes her purchase to the Web, because this is the first physical store of Zivame.com, a ecommerce company headquartered here.

Zivame, Clovia, PrettySecrets and a few others are emerging leaders of a new fleet of lingerie startups that are taking advantage of India’s online shopping craze, an industry worth an estimated $23 billion, Goldman Sachs reported last year. They’re capitalizing on the attitudes of young sexuality-positive working women — with money to spare — who will take their leaning in with a side of lace and polka dots, thank you. Here in India — where 400 million people are expected to be online this year, surpassing the United States, according to the Internet and Mobile Association of India — ecommerce is in a gilded age. There’s Amazon’s $2 billion competitors and Snapdeal, as well as Lenskart, jewelry home-delivery services, grocery booms and more. “It’s like the Wild West here,” says NYU Stern professor of business Anindya Ghose.
Women are getting bolder about what they wear inside.
Sure, new players will face an uphill battle to compete with the bigwigs, Ghose says, but these companies believe that it’s all about going niche. Series C–funded Zivame’s CEO, Richa Kar, sees a targeted market here: women who want to feel good about their bodies. And the way Kar talks about buying bras — bras and panties hang around her busy office like casual ornaments and a collaged poster of scantily clad women greets you in the lobby — is a far cry from the old days. (Most lingerie stores are staffed by men, who can make shoppers uncomfortable, and who don’t provide insight on sizing — a tricky matter — she says.) Meanwhile, in small towns, one of which Kar is from, women shop for bras at mom-and-pop stores with their mothers until the age of 21, buying dull beige and careless colors.

Shocking Breaking News ............. About J.B Danquah

Credible information reaching citifmonline.com says the Accra Regional Police Command has arrested a man suspected to have killed the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu.

Sources at the command who confirmed the arrest to Citi News Franklin Badu Jnr, the alleged killer was nabbed in an operation led by the Regional Commander, COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
The operation begun last night and ended Thursday dawn. Details of how the arrest and the identity of the suspect are unknown for now. According to Citi News’ Franklin Badu Jnr., the police are currently interrogating the suspect to ascertain whether he acted independently or was contracted to kill.
Investigations into the gruesome killing of the MP began on Tuesday morning, after his demise at dawn that same day. Efforts to capture the suspect intensified after the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) was asked to take over the investigations.
A Member of Parliament on the minority side according to police sources, was also instrumental in the arrest of the suspect. The arrest comes a day after five of the six persons who were invited for questioning over the killing were discharged. As at Wednesday evening, the police was only holding the late MP’s private security guard, who they said had more questions to answer.
The stabbing
The MP was killed by unknown assailants at his residence at Shiashi in Accra, where he lived with his family. Some neighbours of the late MP have told Citi News they heard about a struggle between the MP and his attackers, which forced them out of their homes only to find out that he had been killed.
They claimed to have seen a ladder behind the late MP’s bedroom, which they suspect was used by the assailants to access his room where he was killed and left in a pool of blood.
According to them, they saw a man run out of the house but he could not use the main entrance because they had then called in the police who were stationed at the gate waiting to enter.

The assailants attacked him at a house at East Legon, believed to be his then girlfriend’s house. In February 2013, three persons who were prosecuted for allegedly causing harm to the late MP in that attack were convicted with fines.
In that case, the married MP’s girlfriend, was the one accused of plotting the attack on him over his refusal to give her money.

Breaking News.......... J.B Danquah Death Was A Plot........ Atta Akyea

Atta Akyea SignsssThe  Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Samuel Atta Akyea, has described the death of his colleague, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu as contract killing. According to him, the circumstances surrounding the Tuesday dawn killing points to the fact that it was executed by individuals with ill-intent.

Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu was stabbed to death at his residence at Shiashi where he lived with his family.
Five persons including two women, and three men, have been arrested in connection with the murder of MP for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu.

The five includes a private security guard who was in the house on the day of the incident. The others are said to be residents of the house, but the police did not give further details about their identity.

Speaking after a visit to the residence of the late MP, Mr. Atta Akyea said, “It should be obvious to everybody that this is contract killing. We trust that very soon, it will come to the fore as to who is responsible for this dastardly act of murder.”
Mr. Atta Akyea also called for the security of MPs to be beefed up, describing the lack of security afforded MPs as embarrassing.

“It is an embarrassment to even describe this issue because the MCEs and DCEs have security. The judges of the superior court have security and the ministers too have security including deputy ministers; so we are end of the joke because we do not matter to government that’s why we are not provided with security.”

He further expressed that hope that the circumstance surrounding the unfortunate death of Mr. Danquah-Adu would push government to provide better security to MPs.
“Probably the death of this man will wake them up that indeed and in fact, if it’s not good at all we should have night and security policemen.”

In an interaction with some neighbors of the late MP, they told Fred Djabanor that they heard about the struggling between the MP and his attackers, which forced them out of their homes only to find out that he had been killed.

They claimed to have seen a ladder behind the late MP’s bedroom, which they suspect was used by the assailants.
